It adds up by itself
Every tap is saved and totalled: per cow, per day and per month. No more adding columns by torchlight.

Maziwa is a free record book on your phone. Tap in morning and evening milk for each cow, note heats and services, and add what you spend. Maziwa adds it all up, reminds you of breeding dates and shows what your farm earns each month.
No account. No sign-up. Your records stay on your phone.

To protect farmers, a county or breed appears only when at least 10 farms have shared for that month.
Keep the habit of writing things down. Let the phone do the sums.

Record a heat or a service and Maziwa works out the next heat, pregnancy check, dry-off and calving dates for you.
See litres per cow per day and what each month earns after feed and vet costs, so you know where your money goes.
Farmers who turn on sharing send one anonymous number per breed each month. Together they show what is possible in your county.
Coming soonThe board fills up as farmers turn on sharing. A county appears once at least 10 farms from it have shared.

Past months are kept as they were, so the board only grows as more farmers share.

Your record and the co-op's record should agree. Maziwa puts them side by side, so you can see every day that counts.
Tap the cow, type the litres on the big number pad, and save. It locks after 10 minutes, so numbers don't change by accident.
When your co-op's SMS arrives, press and hold it, tap Share and choose Maziwa. Maziwa reads only that message, never your inbox.
Days that match show "Co-op confirmed". Days that don't show "Different", with the litres and shillings, so you can ask the co-op with evidence.
When the co-op changes its price, milk you already recorded keeps the price it was saved at, like money already changed at an exchange rate. Only new milk uses the new price.
Five small habits. Two minutes a day.
Name, breed and whether she is milking, dry or a heifer.
Your co-op's name, whether its slip shows litres or kilograms, and the price per litre.
Morning and evening (and midday if you milk three times), type the litres on the big number pad. "Save · next cow" goes through the herd fast.
Maziwa checks your litres against the co-op's own figure.
Dairy meal, vet, AI, labour. Profit updates straight away.
Records only help if you read them. Three moments that make a difference:
Glance at today against yesterday. A cow that dropped by more than a litre or two may need water, feed or a check.
Look at each cow's 7-day average. Which cow is rising, which is falling, and what changed that week?
Compare expected pay with what the co-op paid, see your profit, and export the month to Excel for your SACCO or your own files.
Small dairy farms win or lose on a few shillings per litre.
Divide the month's costs by the litres you sold. If it is close to the co-op price, you are working for nothing.
Weigh or count what you give. Extra dairy meal pays only if the cow turns it into milk.
Every missed heat pushes calving back about 21 days, and that is 21 days less milk in the next lactation.
Plan dry-off and calving so that not too many cows are dry in the same months.
Compare your records with what you were paid. Differences are easier to raise when you have the numbers.
Put a little aside from every payment for the vet. Sick cows cost more when you wait.
Maziwa can show one short tip a day, picked from what is happening on your farm: a heat due soon, a calving next week, milk dropping for two days. Tips are stored in the app, so they work without data bundles.
Turn tips on in Maziwa under Settings → Farm tips. General advice only; always call your vet when an animal seems sick.
Practical guides written for small dairy farms, and a calculator to test your numbers before you spend.
Simple habits that keep milk clean, stop it being rejected at the co-op and protect the udder.
FeedingWater, good fodder and the right amount of dairy meal: where most of your milk, and most of your costs, come from.
BreedingCatch every heat and serve at the right time. Each missed heat costs about three weeks of milk.
Cow healthWhat to prepare in the last weeks, what normal calving looks like, and when to call the vet.
